Dirt on My Shirt

There's dirt on my shirt

And leaves in my hair

There's mud on my boots

But I don't really care.

Playing outside is so much fun

To breath the clean air

And feel the warm sun.

To stomp in a puddle

Or climb a big tree

Makes me quite happy

Dear Reader:

we are happy about your interest to read and learn about the German/American concept of our facility.

Little KiGa Farm preschool is a licensed in home nature based German/American preschool, where our philosophy is to allow the children to be little and play from the heart. Our preschoolers are out and about in nature as little adventurer, discoverer and surrounded with animals. We believe children learn best through play and hands on. We also believe that sometimes children need to take risks for themself to learn how far can I go to accomplish a task.

Since I am from Germany and a native in the German language, children will also learn German through music, play, art, drama and traditions like St.Martin, St.Nikolaus and Christkindlemarkt.

Of course it is also important for us to get your child introduced to the ABC, numbers, colors, shapes and writing skills to be prepared for kindergarten .

But the most important part for us as teachers is, we want our children leaving our program knowing to be a kind and respectful human being to other people, animals and the nature.

I hope that our concept gives you an

insight into our work with children, at

"little KiGa FARM".

The concept is not a product that is

established once and for all, but

something that should be reassessed

constantly and changed, if needed.
