•Creek with Spring
Children experience water as a precious basic element. The spring and the barrages provide space for creative play with the element water. Children may cool off in the creek on hot summer days.
•Adventure Hill with a Slide and Crawl Pipe
The hill motivates children to climb while the crawl pipe may be utilized by children for crawling.
The risk for accidents on the slide is very minimal because the slide is integrated into the hill.
By planting trees there will be shade, which also prevents the slide from heating up too much in the summer months. When sliding down, the children will experience an interplay of sunlight and shade. On the hill children will move on different planes, which will give them various perspectives.
•Pond with Observation Foot Bridge
The pond ( fenced in) with the observation dock accommodates the children’s urge to explore. They experience nature in respect to plants and animals that have their habitat near or in the water. They have the opportunity to watch microbes. Watching and observing allows children to become calm and quiet, which qualities are often times overlooked in our society that is marked by a hectic pace.
